Connecting Needs With People Who Can Help
The Healing Closet believes the strongest community support happens
through collaboration. Through our partnership with CarePortal, trusted
organizations, churches, businesses, and community responders can work
together to address verified, tangible needs affecting children and
families.

A Need Is Identified
A participating child-serving professional or community agency (i.e., DFACS)
identifies and verifies a tangible need for a child or family.

The Community Is Connected
CarePortal shares the verified request with participating churches,
organizations, businesses, and community responders that may be able
to help.

Resources Reach Families
Responders provide the donated items directly to the family, helping
meet an immediate need while building meaningful community
connections.
CarePortal currently has participating access in Fulton, DeKalb, and
Clayton counties. The Healing Closet primarily focuses on Fulton, Henry,
and Clayton counties; however, our commitment to helping families is not
limited by those boundaries. When resources, partnerships, and capacity
allow, we may help respond to needs in neighboring communities as well.
Become a CarePortal Responder
Churches and community partners can join The Healing Closet's response
team and help meet real needs as they arise. A responder may donate or
secure requested items, coordinate with other partners, and deliver the
support directly to the family. Whether your church, organization, or
business responds to one request or many, every response can help a
family move toward greater stability.

Prefer to make a financial contribution? Donate directly to The Healing
Closet's CarePortal fund. Your gift helps us respond to verified needs
by providing funds directly to the appropriate business or vendor for

CarePortal participation and requests are subject to the procedures and
eligibility requirements of participating agencies and community
partners. This is not currently an open application for direct assistance
through The Healing Closet. Available responses depend on verified needs,
responder participation, and available resources.
